Instructors Bobby, AD, Eric and Kim will be flying to Taiwan for Freestyle Session battle! Most of the classes are cancelled but we still have the dance styles that you are interested to attend on other days! Famous Crew, after completing their first-time-ever involvement in dance competition, 8TV Showdown 2010, they were back in actions again!

They had decided to join the final round across Malaysia of MyFM x TmNet Blockbuster Dance Competition 2010 which was taken place at Sunway Pyramid outdoor. They had utilized their Showdown routines well to stand out from this competition organized by TmNet which entitled them the Champion of this competition! Their sense of humor, skills and routine tightness had also made them different from the other crews.

Famous Crew in 8TV Showdown 2010 !

Famous Crew, first ever in Street Dance competition! Even though Bobby wasn't able to join with them, due to the maximum number of members, due to his status, due to his past experience as judge of Astro Battleground 2007 to 2009, he had to give up for this shot. Well the others, Nick Ng, Eddie Chan, FamousOne, Dion, Kim, Eric and Keet decided to sacrifice their time to pursue a new experience in their life! A new history for Famous Crew! Here they are, in 8TV Showdown 2010!

Audition

Showdown had never been easy for 7 guys with different background and different personality. Nick Ng, a father of a daughter, a husband of a wife. FamousOne and Clipz, travel almost everyday to KL for practices and shootings. Eddie and Eric, managers of a dance studio and instructors for various dance studios. Kim and Dion, instructors of various dance studios. And all of them are well known performers for various huge events.

Famous Crew, by the name, is known as a bboy crew in most people's ears. But they are just more than a bboy. Most of them are dancers and instructors of various dance styles such as Hip Hop, LA Hip Hop, Breaking, Locking, Popping, House, etc!

If you have been a great viewer of 8TV Showdown 2010, Famous Crew had actually brought various type of fresh performances every episode with explosive moves! Besides that, you could see their variations of costumes are great as well! Afro heads, zombies, etc! Fusion of bboy moves with dance moves!

Being the Top 5 of 8TV Showdown 2010, I'm sure the reason they lost wasn't because they are not as good as the others, but supporters. The amount of supporters is not as great as the rests. Even though they are not Malaysia's Most Favorite Crew in the competition, but I'm sure they are one of the Malaysia's Strongest Crew.

SOUL KRAZY's Journey in 8TV Showdown from Top 12 to Top 7

The journey of SOUL KRAZY started off with a JOKE..........

A joke? Haha. I'm sure now people start to be REALLY curious.

The earliest ones to know each other were Becky and Von. Becky was once a student in a studio where Von was belonged to. It was 2004. But both didn't manage to talk, as Von is as cool and quiet as usual. Haha!

One fine day after Becky & Cynthia's dance competition, both of them together with Lady Seven and Yvonne went for a "YAMCHA" session. They were joking about forming an all-girls crew and started to rank the size of their cup from smallest to the biggest! So you see, before SOUL KRAZY was formed, these people are already crazy.

But at that moment Becky and Cynthia were attached with their previous crew. Not long later after the first SOUL-KRAZY-gonna-be joke, Becky and Cynthia left the crew and officially formed the SOUL KRAZY on 9 December 2009.

5 of them came from a different background, different place and different history. They were brought together by fate, by a joke. But what really brought everyone together was dancing, the passion heart for dancing!

Each of us has their own style, their own speciality, their own strong points and their own strength! What people see in pictures may be 5 elegant ladies trying to be really elegant in their dancing. People might have thought FEMALE will always be FEMALE. But what people are watching in television are 5 girls trying to be like guys! We love to take up the challenges of doing something that certain girls will never ever try to do! We try to prove that we can be all 5 girls and we also can be all 5 guys!

We love power! We love crazy!

OUL KRAZY had their first meet up at Sunway Pyramid Honey Moon to discuss about what were we gonna do for 8TV Showdown 2010. After everything was planned, Cynthia decided to quit the competition as she has to focus on her tough semester! Spirit was totally lost! Flame was gone! But we had got advices from Bobby (founder of Street Nation Dance Studio) that we should go for it! So we had been trying to search for new member who is unique.

A day later, Becky told us our member Cynthia is back! SOUL KRAZY is going for 8TV Showdown 2010! Oh yes! Let's do it! January audition here we come!

First routine was the TIK TOK! We actually cut queue because Becky was in a rush for the next class. We were picked directly into the next round! YES!!! I think it was because we executed the TIK TOK choreography more entertaining than the other teams who used the same song as well?

SOUL KRAZY went for the 8TV Showdown 2010 battle. Their first opponent was FREAK SHOW! Although we won the battle but FREAK SHOW are really great dancers. It was our first battle together. Somehow WACK but good experience. We just need to gain more of this!

SOUL KRAZY in Meltdown with the other 13 teams! We had been given a remix version of BEP Boom Boom Pow! I think Maple and Joe like us for being a unique girls team than the others out there because we make girl style and street style a fusion rather than executing girl style alone. As what most people thought a girl crew can only manage to do sexy moves to present their body gestures but what SOUL KRAZY believes is as long as the guys can do it, girls can do it too! SOUL KRAZY believes that a girl must be powerful enough to protect ourselves! All the ladies in the world, let's be independent! X) And so, we made it to the 8TV Showdown 2010 Live Show!!!

While training hard for the first live show, SOUL KRAZY took part in a club competition called Can U Dance at Caribbean Pub & Bistro with other cool and well-known dancers. They had to compete every Tuesday night 11pm. Even though we did not win the Top 3 prizes but we were entitled THE BEST CHOREOGRAPHY! Thanks to Ikuyo Ken and Wesley!

Yeah! SOUL KRAZY moved on to the Top 12 of 8TV Showdown 2010! Busy life started with the official photoshooting directed by Paul Poh and fashion designed by Stevensunny! We're the only all-girls crew in Showdown, so we believed Stevensunny had something great for us! And yes, HIGH HEELS!!! Interesting!!!

8TV crew felt that the heels limited our movements that we couldn't express what we wanted to express. For us, it was fine. But we couldn't do extreme moves like TOE POINT, breaking moves, splits. Yeah. So hard to even stand and walk properly. But in photos, high heels looked great on us! Too bad......

We changed to our dance gears : Nike Air Troupe! Our all time favorite. The series for dancing! We were like charged up! Tried all of our crazy moves but in the same time, being more elegant with the camera due to our pretty and elegant outfits! I Felt so ROAR due to the leopard-print legging! X)

SOUL KRAZY in 8TV Showdown Live Show 1...

The Top 12 crews were appointed to have their first meeting with the 8TV Showdown production crew at Sri Pentas, to brief all of us regarding the contract, rules, regulations, etc... (But I wasn't there on Sunday. I was in Melaka.) Come on guys~ It's LIVE SHOW soon! We actually didn't know what should we dance for the first live show. We just practised and discussed what we could.

Monday (3 May), we had our first practise at IDC Studio in Kepong along with the song given by 8TV. Yes, it's Beenie Man : Gimme Gimme Gimme. The tempo is fast, uprising from the beginning until the end! OMG! 8TV seriously wants us to go as crazy as we can! We were given 2 hours to practise in the studio. Most of us had the problem of feeling suffocated practising in the studio! It was hot! We could hardly breathe seriously. Even if we just stood there without dancing or doing anything, we could sweat like as if we're standing in the middle of the rain! Ooppsss... Sounds too exaggerated? Haha. But yes! It's true! Cynthia seldom joined the practise as she was facing her attendance problem at university. She couldn't miss any classes.

We were there from Monday to Friday and Sunday. Tuesday, Lady Seven fever. Wednesday, Von and Yvonne fever. Thursday, Becky's turn. Great? Haha! Because the temperature in the studio is so different with outdoor. In addition, the weather keeps changing. It was a hard week for SOUL KRAZY to SURVIVE.

We had a roll call meeting with Pat Ibrahim on Sunday, in the same studio. After watching our short routine for roll call, he actually allocated us to dance on the judges' platform! Which means, behind the judges! OMG! That's crazy but interesting! Haha! We were gonna GOYANG GOYANG with Joe Flizzow, Maple Loo and BBoy Born from Korea! Von and Lady Seven's favorite! Haha!

Monday (10 May), it was the stage blocking for all the Top 12 crews. Our slot was the last one. So many eyes were watching. But we did it! Everybody thinks that we're really crazy with the routine, although it was messy! Because the tempo is fast. And guess what? 8TV put us in the last segment, the last crew to perform! OMG! Pros or cons? Haha. The last crew, means performance sure kena GEMPAK; the last crew, people who want to vote for us have the least time to do so! But it's alright. At least our showcase proves that we're great!

Tuesday, camera and stage blocking. We had to perform with our costume on, although there was no costume for SOUL KRAZY yet. As there were 12 crews in total, the full dress rehearsal took long time to end. Becky and Yvonne had to leave at 7pm because they had class in Klang and Kajang at 8pm! It was raining and jam! We left around 8pm. 8TV Showdown first diaries! SOUL KRAZY in Bottom 4!!! OMG!!! So hard to believe it! All of us were so scared! We voted until our phones got barred!

Wednesday, THE LIVE SHOW! So nervous! So scared! Can't describe the feelings! We kept practising the battle routines, the showcase, etc! Couldn't stop moving around to calm ourselves down!

We heard screaming from the crowd! Very positive comments from the judges! I remember seeing few girls among the audience shouted, "Girl power!!!" YEAH!!! Thanks for such a lovely comment!!!

The Bottom 4 announcement. We hugged each other like how hard we hug our parents. Feasible Crew, Backyard Revolution, Borneo Soul Breakerz... The last one : Funky Ux Force!!! We shouted like we hadn't been shouting for a century!!! We gave our homies Famous Crew a big hug too! Because we expected both of us would be in the bottom!!! SO HAPPY OKAY!!!!

But anyway, SOUL KRAZY in 8TV Showdown 2010 Top 11!

SOUL KRAZY in Live Show 2...

MY LIFE... What we tried to deliver, is to prove to our parents who are so worried about our future, being a dancer for career, which seems so impossible in their eyes. In our parents' era, dancers were only the commercial ones, at the pubs, etc. It couldn't be taken as a career to earn a living for our future. So we chose the song FAME by Naturi Naughton, to express our feelings in our dance. We didn't try to impress, but we tried to express, to make people feel our struggle to achieve what we wanna achieve. We knew the routine is not impressing, but at least we had put much feelings inside, to let go our emotions, sadness, stress, doubts and hardships.

We had very negative comments from the judges. Probably they couldn't feel us, couldn't feel what we tried to deliver with the theme. What they expected wasn't about the theme, it was about the showcase, was it entertaining enough, impressing enough. After all, the theme wasn't so important at all. Or probably no one actually cared about the theme of the week. They just expected an entertaining show.

Honestly the dance style isn't what we really mastered. From bgirls, hip-hoppers, to Jazz, Girl Style, etc, we tried our best to deliver something different so that people not just recognize us as bgirls, but versatile dancers who can adopt any kind of dance styles. We never complain any single thing. We just try to do our best, to cooperate with anyone, to enjoy the whole progress in Showdown.

Anyway, SOUL KRAZY, saved from Bottom 4, moved on to Top 10!!!

SOUL KRAZY in Live Show 3...

We had a down week working hard for MY LIFE theme previously. But we're proud, lucky and glad to have BEAT IT as our showcase song! I think 8TV wants us to go fast and hype in every showcase.

In this routine, we believe the real identity of SOUL KRAZY had revealed, which is strong, impulsive, violent and attitude. We never tried to be one of the sexiest girls in the world, but we are not afraid of being one. BBOY FARHAN was right, "This routine brought you all back." Maybe we really belong to style, power and attitude. But of course we'll not give up of doing the elegant moves because after all, we're still ladies. We have the benefits of outshining the gestures and poises of a lady!

The concept of the whole routine is, we're a gang of good dancing buddies who always dance together. Then 2 members crash each other while executing some dance moves (in the routine, it was the MOONWALK, a lame one ) and start to fight, like in the MTV of Beat It, Michael Jackson appeared to bring peace to the members.

I couldn't remember what comments we had got, but all were positive. Thank god they liked it!

Happiness couldn't remain until SOUL KRAZY was announced to be in the Bottom 4. What we couldn't expect was, we had to battle with BORNEO SOUL BREAKERZ. We knew we could make it into Top 9. But first time battling in live show, we were all nervous. We looked emotionless and speechless in the same time. I knew we should lose to BSB, but being announced as the winner, I was really kind of.. HUH? Maybe that was our first battle in live show, so the judges liked our spirit? I don't know. I was really speechless, but in the same time happy for going to Top 9! And we believed BSB could make it into Top 9 too! And yes, they did! Thank god!

When we reached home, we couldn't believe with what we read, comments from the audience. So negative. It was like as if our fault to be announced as the winner. I was really speechless, angry and sad. We're a bunch of people who love dancing. We just try to dance whatever we have to in Showdown, to make it a better show, not to impress, not to win and not to make anyone loses in this competition. It's all about experience and exposure. Even though we battled hard on the stage with BSB, but behind the stage, we're just another best buddies playing together and never bother about winning each other, taking the fame from one another. If all the dance crews can peace together, I believe all the audience can peace too. Support your favorite dance crews, and not criticizing on the others. The dance crews never scold you, never curse you, never fight with you, but all of us are trying hard to put on a great show for viewers, we never try hard to make the viewers down and hate us. If you don't like any of the crews, just ignore them and give your best support to your favorite crews so that they can beat the crews that you don't like. Isn't it more useful, adorable and lovely? Hatred brings you to hell. Why don't we live peacefully in this world? We're all human-beings after all. You can voice out your opinions, I'm sure everyone can accept it with open heart. And not bashing the negative words that have no point at all. I believe the whole competition will be more fun if all the viewers, supporters, contestants and production crews can join together like a big family, to share their life, experience and heart together, to make the whole show seems more interesting and lively. It's like a party in the competition where everyone chills together! YEAH!

Anyway, SOUL KRAZY into Top 9!

SOUL KRAZY in the 1970s (Live Show 4)...

And all the negative comments continue... Being in the entertainment world is always not easy. You gain your fame, you gain supporters but in the same time you gain haters that you can't even understand what have you done wrongly to them. So we thought of doing something impressive in our 70s routine. But when we think carefully, why should we impress them than missing all our fun on stage? We dance not to impress, but to have fun. I believe if someone hates you so much, regardless how hard to try to make them love you, they will still give you the same feeling, even more disgusted I supposed. As long as we're still FEMALE, we'll be titled as GEDIK no matter what. Regardless how man, how macho we dress up, behave, talk, we're still the GEDIK in people's eyes. But, not every girl is GEDIK? I think that is the nature of girls, built in by God. That's why girls look lovely in guys' eyes.

Anyway, I couldn't believe with what I had to put on myself! The costume seems so ridiculous okay! But the effect of 1970s is really perfect! HAHA! Thank god I had a shade on to cover half of my face! I think not many people could recognize me though! Since I looked funny already, so let's get fun, ugly and crazy! HAHA!

Alright, the concept. It just came across Yvonne's mind when she suddenly thought of making 4 of us as the mannequins where Becky is the owner of the SOUL KRAZY BOUTIQUE. When she's trying to adjust our "hands" to make a better pose, suddenly we transform into real human-beings! We pull "our owner" to dance together with us! She seems confused and surprised with our transformation, but then has to accept the fact that it's really fun to dance together! When the music finishes, mannequins are back to posing! Just like the mannequins will be alive when there's music, and back to dolls when the music finishes!

Repetition of steps and moves? Ummm... Like which? It's only a technic move in Waackin'. Yes Kuma you are right! How about the windmills, power moves, the salsa steps, the six-step in BBoy? Every crew has their own significant moves that trademark their speciality and uniqueness to stand out from the rests.

Once again, we were the bottom 4 again. This time our opponent was another BBoy crew, RETURN CREW. And of course, we knew it wasn't our time yet to get eliminated. We improved in our spirit for battle. We were all ready to fight! Although we lost to RETURN CREW, explained that they improved, have the spinnings like windmills, flares, although the crashed in their routines; then SOUL KRAZY also crashed in our moves, messy routines, same skills, but at least we're satisfied with our own spirit and improvement, I'm sure we can do much better and tidy in the next battle!

Standing beside of FUNKY UX FORCE, we had confident to survive for another episode. And yes, we did! SOUL KRAZY into Top 8.

And all the negative comments are never ending... Such as, why not SOUL KRAZY got eliminated, they GEDIK, they repeat their steps until I can even dance their steps, SOUL KRAZY should out out out, etc etc and yada yada. One day you will learn to know the feelings of SOUL KRAZY, how much pain we have to go through for reading such negative words written by you guys, how hard we try to survive and forget of what you scolded us, how you stereotype and bias us, when we're not guilty of doing anything. Just because we have the heart, soul and passion in dancing. We stand with pride on the stage without fear, because we're not guilty. No, your words will not make us surrender in dancing. Even if we leave the stage, it will surely not because of your words that make it real, but it's the crews who can do better than us. And we'll seek for another platform to expand our dancing life, whether you like it or not, we're still SOUL KRAZY, so crazy in dancing, so crazy in living...

SOUL KRAZY With Street Flava... Live Show 5!

I know this comes late, very late. Haha. I know plenty of people are expecting this, I guess that's where the pressure came from, the expectation made me blank for a couple of days. Whatever I wanted to express, it can be found from the previous posts. I'm trying hard to figure out how should I make this post seems different from the old ones.

After the week in 1970s, I believe most of the people can feel the soul in SOUL KRAZY has gone. We don't look like whom we used to be in Showdown - energetic, powerful, noisy, active, etc. It's like, we don't care already, we just wanna finish it as soon as possible! We wanted to do something, that is really totally different from what we had done before. We tried to blend in everything that we can do, or a better word to explain it, SHOW HAND. People always said we repeat, we repeat and we repeat. So now, we gave you something different. Krumping.

We had already minimized our signature style - Waackin' in the routine. We tried to Krump more, with Single Ladies. We tried hard to find a slot where we could Krump. The song doesn't sound violence. It's like when we hear the song, it's sexy and bouncy. Krump is fierce and attitude. The song gives us a feeling that we should smile more. But however, I think this is where the challenge came. Anyhow, JUST DO IT.

We felt very glad that we were given the dance KRUMPING. We have been so tolerating with all the negative comments, perhaps those nonsense ones. We didn't bother if the song makes us smile. When it comes to Krump, you have to be fierce. Delete all the happy moments, delete all the funny jokes, DELETE EVERYTHING. Remember those who had written nonsense about us, remember those who hate us so badly like we owe them a million dollar, remember those who wish so hard that SOUL KRAZY would be eliminated, REMEMBER THEM and present the attitude of Krumping in the showcase. DON'T EVER THINK SOUL KRAZY CAN BE BULLIED EASILY! Our supporters can smoke you too! If you dare, you just come and show us your face, HOW MUCH YOU HATE US.

Oppsss.. I forgot the most important part of this showcase, SOUL KRAZY TRANSFORMED INTO 5 BOYS. It was the moment we were waiting for. 5 new handsome boys in Showdown, like a dream, show the world how boyish we can be, and perhaps WE ARE BOYISH for your information. I still remember when I was on the stage, what I really kept in mind was the human sea of haters right in front of my eyes were watching us. I know they want us to fail so so so so so badly. And I was not going to look friendly on the stage because I cannot forgive them how they tried to ruin our mood, our life, our feeling, our friendship among each other between ourselves and the other crew members, and everything.

And what was the most surprise gift for SOUL KRAZY was, we were not in Bottom 4. We were waiting for our name to be called. The first one was HMC Phlow, very surprising. Famous Crew, and we were expecting our name to be announced after Famous Crew. But Return Crew. We got more nervous. We had to battle with Famous Crew? Our homies? And the last empty blank was filled in by Giller Battle Crew and we went like, HUH? We're not in Bottom 4? We're in Top 7? We didn't scream, but usually we would, but instead, we sighed. Then we ran to the other side of the backstage to scream for Famous Crew. I could feel they are going to be in the same situation like us since the battle of SOUL KRAZY and Borneo Soul Breakerz - the negative comments in Showdown page, because people started to notice them, what they're doing. But I know they can handle better than us. I think only a few of them visit the Showdown page. XP

However, we gain more haters but in the same time we gain more supporters and respect from others. Being an all-girls crew who is able to stand up from the negative side and show we are still steady and ready. We wish to leave the stage with peace and love from everyone. No discrimination, no bias, no stereotype and NO NONSENSE. We are all the same human- beings, living hard in Earth to achieve what we are targeting.

Lastly... Opppsss.. SOUL KRAZY in Top 7!

The End of Journey for SOUL KRAZY as the Top 7 in 8TV Showdown 2010...

Finally, it's a relief for SOUL KRAZY to have a full stop in Showdown. Elimination was what we had been waiting for since Live Show 5. But we were given a chance to stay for another week, for another greater challenge. SILAT, was what we had drawn from draw lots. We prayed for it, but we didn't know why. Maybe because we wanted to try the malay martial arts instead of chinese martial arts as most of the people think Chinese should be able to do the Chinese martial arts easily as we have already known the history and knowledge of it. But for silat, we didn't know a single thing. It's always great to learn something new.

We were grateful to have Ray from So You Think You Can Dance to teach us Silat. As he has much experience in SYTYCD, he had actually prepared a routine and choreography for us to be useful in our Silat and Hip Hop fusion! And we tried to search for more information in YouTube. There are few types of Silat such as Silat Gendeng, Silat Harimau, etc.

Accidents happened during our stage blocking. Becky fell down from top when she tried to climb on Yvonne's shoulders. Yvonne had her head greatly hit when Becky fell down. As we were barefoot, the percentage of getting hurt on the feet is very high. But although we had our knees and wrists hurt more than the feet. All the blue-blacks, sprained, old injuries, etc, had never been revealed to anyone. We cured the injuries ourselves, we fought against the pain ourselves. It's like, "Wow... These girls are really tough. They never got hurt." Or perhaps, "Alah... Kan diorang tak buat benda gempak, tak buat power moves. Mana la datang cedera?" Whatsoever.

Silat Lagenda is the most synchronized routine ever done in Showdown by SOUL KRAZY. Maybe it's because the movements are slow and simple. And basically we had put almost 70% of silat in our routine. And it's greatly performed with our silat costume on prepared by Stevensunny! And the batik was ready by Cynthia, she borrowed from her teacher.

We expected to battle with HMC Phlow but it was Floor Fever's "responsibility" to knock us out. We battled with peace, we battled with fun. Like what Maple Loo said, it wasn't as furious as it should be. Maybe we had got used to perform together, winning to us no longer meant anything, because we knew we'd lose. So, we just tried our best. No matter how good we tried, we knew, we somehow felt it in our heart, SOUL KRAZY would be going home that night.

Standing in the elimination round again, standing beside Borneo Soul Breakerz, both crews have own specialities and strength to remain on stage. The BSB boys quarreled behind the stage after the battle with GBC. Maybe they thought they were the ones going home. They were ready too. It was a surprise for us to hear our name to be announced but yet we did not feel sad or disappointed with the result, because we had expected it. Instead, we shouted for joy, we kept smiling with positive thinking. We had done this before last 2 weeks during rehearsal, how should I quit the stage, how should we act during the elimination, to get ourselves really ready for this hard time. We ran to the board holding the spraying can like a bunch of kids. As discussed, we wanted a smile on our name SK. We thought of spraying 5 crosses on it to represent 5 happy ladies but it'd be time consuming. Instead Becky sprayed a big cross with a smile below it. And the outcome was a XD .

A smile in the middle of the stage, to remind everyone including the audience, contestants, production crews, judges and invited guests to keep smiling. Elimination was supposed to be cruel, but we made it fun. It was supposed to end up in tears, especially for female, but we remained tough and happy until the end. We want Malaysians to remember, we made a legend in 8TV Showdown, we are still the happy-go-lucky ladies in Showdown who give laughters to everyone, right in front of everyone. Hope the rests of the crews who will be eliminated this week onwards to quit the stage with smiles too.

We are the five legendary ladies, first ever all-girls crew in 8TV Showdown.

However, Cynthia and Yvonne cried when we were back to the backstage. Tears of joy. While Becky and Seven, tears rolling in their eyes. For me? Oppsss... Feeling nothing except loneliness. As we are no longer involved in Showdown activities, we are not meeting the Showdown family no more, no more training for currently, my life seems so peaceful. Too peaceful perhaps. 6 weeks being together with the other crews, so many friends to accompany in life, so many laughters together. And now life has become so quiet.

When Kuma asked, should the girls be given a handicap in this competition, something came across my mind that, NO, girls should not be given handicap. It's a fair and equal world we're staying in. We admit that we couldn't present blow-ups and crazy power moves to the judges and audience, which brought us to an end in Top 7. It's not because girls are softer, they cannot do those blow-ups, so we must be given a handicap. Girls can do it, but we haven't achieved it yet. It's really a good challenge for us to try all the stunts so that in future, we'll grow as a stronger and tougher team, equipped with tough stunts that will be beneficial in competitions.

However, dancing is all about fun, not the stunts, if anyone of you has received the information mistakenly. If only the stunts can give you the fun, how about those disabled people, old folks and young kids? They cannot dance? What they are doing is not dance? Since we knew we were too far away from doing more stunts to create more blow-ups, instead we stick to the basic of dancing, which is having fun. But I think having fun is not what judges and some Malaysians are looking for in Showdown.

Anyway, our journey had ended in Showdown, although we will be back every Wednesday to support the rests of the crew, especially FAMOUS CREW, who is our homie crew. And we'll also be back during Final on 14 July. We will look for another platform that is more suitable for us to continue our journey.

R16 Malaysia 2010 Audition

R16 Malaysia 2010, organized by Korea Sparkling with GFW, consulted by Bobby Tan. Had successfully gathered more than 15 crews with 8 bboys in a crew at Times Square LG Concourse level.

All the crews had to perform a 3 minute showcase and judge would select the top 8 crews for battle. First time ever, all the Famous Crew members managed to gather everyone to compete: Bobby, Fido, AD, FamousOne, OneDay Dion, Ric, Kim and Clipz.

Top 8 battles for Famous Crew was against Project Elementz. They took over the battle and moved on to Top 4, against Wakaka Fever. They didn't make it to represent Malaysia to battle in R16 South East Asia because they lost in the battle. According to judges, they missed the routines. But it is a good experience for Famous Crew to move on as a better crew next time. Famous Crew is coming...

Impression Cup 2010 organized by Exquisite Impression and handled by 36 Carat, supported by Kementerian Malaysia!

The audition took place at Central Market on 4 April 2010. As the date was too rush, Famous Crew managed to gather Ric, AD, FamousOne, Zack and Kim to represent Famous Crew for the audition. The audition had more than 16 crews and judges had to select the Top 8 crews to move on to the final.

They took over the first battle with Topgangz but lost the second battle to Cypherz Kingz although it was a tie at first. But emcee immediately announced both of the crews would make it to the final. They battled for the last move among Kid Inn (CK) and Kim (FMC).

However, they didn't win the battle with Giller Battle Crew. They crowned 2nd Runner-up after winning the battle over Under Age Killerz.

One night when everyone was in the studio, the organizer of the event suddenly came in and wanted a group of dancers of 8 pax. We discussed for a moment with the organizer and it was a deal. The show was one day after the discussion.

It was organized on the surf beach of Sunway Lagoon. The event was for Danone. They had members from overseas such as Singapore, Australia, etc.

The show was simple, fast and quick. We did the opening of their dinner night. While waiting for the cheque, we chilled by the beach with photo session!

There were over 30 crews took part in the battle! But only 16 teams were selected to be in the final on Sunday. International judges were invited to judge the battles: BBoy Gonza (Thailand), BBoy Katsu (Japan) and BBoy Profo Won (USA). There were also crews from overseas such as Halley Crew from Vietnam and Radikal Forze from Singapore! Also BBoy Raigo and BBoy Hiro from Japan!

The final battle on Sunday was between Radikal Forze and 36 Carat. Radikal Forze once again the champion of bboy battle in Malaysia! Famous Crew had split into 2 teams and both each lost to BBoy Raigo, BBoy Hiro and BBoy Lil V6, as well as 36 Carat.

The most awaiting events by the Malay entertainment! Stadium is totally pack and crowded! Hundreds of audience did not get to enter the stadium because it was full! Many of them had to sit on the staircase! With luxurious and colorful lighting across, in front, behind, left and right, absolutely every corner of the stage, wide and huge stage, creative stage performance by each artiste and great vocals of the artistes, absolutely shake the whole stadium!

The opening was done by Dato' Siti Nurhaliza, Lan and a group of dancers! Their vocals and energetic dance were truly amazed and hyped the whole atmosphere! Almost every artiste and band's performances were supported by a big group of fans and dancers to make their performances more happening! Such as Bunkface having a group of fans rocked the stage with them at the ending chorus, Hujan with some dancers and fans (90 of them in total) hyped their performance below the stage with some simple human wave and happening steps, Black with 4 dancers (we are the ones!) and a group of fans to become his backup vocalist at their audience seats near the stage, Aizat with a group of primary school kids to become his dancers, etc etc etc!

The ceremony ended with the award giving and singing by the champion song (Aizat "Pergi) and Black won the first award of the night which is the best vocalist of the year!

Visiber, can be shortly described as a feng shui using number from Zero to Nine. Requested performances are arranged based on their feng shui and themes. The hardest part of the performance is when you had to act a series of drama and use dancing to express the acting. Given 9 numbers along with its characteristic, such as:

ONE: Leadership

TWO: Communication

THREE: Action

FOUR: Planning

FIVE: Direction

SIX: Wisdom

SEVEN: Networking

EIGHT: Responsibility

NINE: SUCCESS

We had to act and dance according to the characteristic of these 9 numbers. Also we had to dance according to the era growth of the Western and the Chinese, backup a Hong Kong singer, Five Elements, Ying Yang and lastly Futuristic.

Although it was our first time dealing with such performance but it's for sure a good experience for us to cope with greater challenges in future!

Syahmi from Force 136 was celebration his 22nd birthday party in Shine Club, Heritage Row. Mahmud from Radikal Forze (Singapore) was invited to become the judge. BBoys from across Malaysia attended this battle.

Famous Crew had split into 2 crews where Hannsen, FamousOne and Clipz are in a team while Bobby, Nick and Eric are in a team. However, FamousOne injured his knee again and forced to quit the team halfway battling. BBoy Zero Richie replaced him.

Then it was the party and chilling time. Guests had their supper and cake after the cut cake ceremony. Then continued again with the battle. Famous Crew battled with Floor Tactics in final. The battle was a tie. Each member was given another chance to do a move again. Famous Crew was crowned Champion! First time ever in history. We made it!

Canon Printer TVC Shooting

Canon Printer TVC shooting! Involved more than 50 dancers across Malaysia! Even the Twister family members from JB were involved too! Almost every Street Nation member did not sleep and straight away went to Shah Alam for rehearsal at 6am.

The dancers were representing the parts inside a Canon printer and working hard and smooth to print a paper. So all of them had to wear a pure white outfit.

Shooting ended around 11pm for most dancers but the features had to stay until around 3am. Shooting is always fun with many dancers together. Even though each part of the shooting is very short, but the waiting time is always long. But with so many friends around, they pretty had fun playing and going crazy together!

Kent Nanotek Product Launch

18 September 2009, first Kent Nanotek product launch show for Street Nation! It took place at Fame Club in Penang. It was Raya. The road was jam. In addition, it was raining heavily at the highway. So we were late for 1 hour. Although client was angry, but after we did the rehearsal, they were happy and satisfied with us. And organizer Grace is a nice person.

We had to perform 2 sets of dance routines. The one in total black - SMOOTH & SEXY theme. We performed New Skool and Popping. The one in total red - SOLO, PERFORMANCE & POWER. We performed BBoy and Hip Hop.

The floor was slippery. It was hard for us to dance. And the greatest experience, for the greatest person, Yvonne, she slipped, fell and knelled on the floor during show time!

Due to Ting Dong is not 18 yet, she wasn't allowed to perform and to be in the club! She had been waiting for us outside of the club for more than 4 hours!

We also performed during Point Blanc, Negative and Djken Masterk's rap and disc spinning!

Dancers including Bobby, AD, Eric, Nic, Eddie Tay, Yvonne, Von and Ting Dong (although she didn't get to perform).

30 September 2009, second Kent Nanotek product launch took place at Space Club in KL. Introducing a flash mob session every after the routine! Cooperating with other 12 Floor Fever dancers. The event was a blast!!! Space Club was totally crowded! Even we as dancers had a hard time finding a space to dance!

We called Trinity from Dancologist to get the route! We were very early this time. We checked out the club for 30 minutes and went to look for hotel.

Astro Battleground Semi Final 1, 2 & 3

7 October 2009 Semi Final 1

Semi finalists were ought to perform with sports equipment to bring up the Sports Day theme. The competition was started with a cheerleading performance.

The competition was supposed to eliminate 2 teams. But Move was battling with Max Identity. One of Move members was injured. Their performance was slightly weaker. Thus, Move was eliminated.

8 October 2009 Semi Final 2

Semi finalists were ought to bring up the oldies theme in the first round. The second round, they were given a movie and they had to expand from the movie how to connect it with their dance style.

2 teams had to be eliminated. The first team was Max Identity. The 2 teams who battled were Twister XF and Street Wreckerz. In the end, Twister XF was eliminated.

8 October 2009 Semi Final 3

It's the summer time! However, although semi finalists were given summer props, they were ought to modify the props into something else that have nothing to do with the actual usage of it! Most of the semi finalists had modified it into a horrifying prop! The producer was saying, "I can't feel the summer feel. It's more to Halloween." Haha~

In the second round, teams were given different countries and they had to dance something related with the culture of the country or anything else.

In the battle, Street Wreckerz was battling Wakaka Fever. Street Wreckerz was eliminated. There were supposed 3 teams to be in the final. But the standard this year is too high that Astro had to pick 4 teams!!!

Ipod Roadshow is back! After we had completed the one in 2008, 2009 round is back! The wild and adventurous roadshow took place at Pavilion and Bukit Bintang area! Why is Bukit Bintang area? Because we ought to travel from Pavilion all the way to the main entrance, to the first traffic light, then the traffic light in front of Lot 10, Maybank, traffic lights and traffic lights, then back to Pavilion main entrance! We also performed on the Ipod stage and also in front of Machines in Pavilion!

So do you think this is the real street style? Yes, it definitely is! Imagine breaking and flipping on the tar road, and in front of the Maybank beside Sungei Wang where the bboy era started in KL! Back to the culture of breaking in Malaysia!

This preliminary consisted with crews from Team A: Street Wreckerz, Move, Shadow Emotion, La Belle Trio, Max Identity and ECX.

Contestants were required to perform a 3 and a half minutes routine with Asian music to bring out the Asian Hip Hop culture. Judges invited were Marcus Tucker from USA, Rambo from Taiwan and Bobby from Malaysia! The competition took place at the main entrance of Sunway Pyramid. It was started at 1.30pm but the place was already crowded at 12pm!

After a one and half hour of competition, it was the results announcement. 3 crews with the lowest mark will be called out to stand beside the 2 hosts, Ngan Mei Yan and Anthony Chang. The crews were Move, La Belle Trio and Shadow Emotion. La Belle Trio was announced to be the lowest team and got eliminated. Move and Shadow Emotion were required to battle with each other to remain in this competition.

After 3 moves from each side, it took judges awhile to decide which crew would stay. 10 minutes later, 3 judges pointed at Move. Congratulations to Move! However, Shadow Emotion should not give up in dancing! Hope to see you again! You guys are young and capable!

Contestants were required to perform a 3-minute routine with own significant dance style. Judges invited were Marcus Tucker from USA, Rambo from Taiwan and Bobby from Malaysia! The competition took place at the main entrance of Sunway Pyramid in the same day and was started at 4.30pm.

The crews were Famous Strike, Haru Haru and MJC. Haru Haru was announced to be the lowest team and got eliminated. After 3 moves from each side, it took judges awhile to decide which crew would stay. It was a tough decision for the judges which crew to pick because it was a tight battle. After 20 minutes of discussion between the Producer and 3 judges, Judge Bobby decided to give his point to Famous Strike as he claimed that Famous Strike has more crew members that made the routine seemed more hyped while MJC was a little flat. However, Judge Marcus Tucker and Rambo pointed at MJC as they said they brought more Hip Hop elements in their routines. Thus announced that MJC would stay and Famous Strike was eliminated. Congratulations to MJC! Famous Strike will keep fighting! They knew their mistakes.

Jementah Dance Competition 2009

Dance competition in Jementah, a small town before reaching Segamat in Johor. Famous Strike was informed 2 days before the competition from Move.

On Monday afternoon, they left KL to Jementah in a car of five: AD, Eric, Nic, Yvonne and Von. Half way on the highway, their car was almost out of petrol. So they had to move slow and about 5km away from Jejantas Rest House, they switched off the air-cond.

It took about 2 and half hours to reach the venue. It was held on a field. The stage was huge. There were 20 participating teams, 2 teams from KL including Project Elementz and Famous Strike.

All the participants were told last minute that they had to dance 2 rounds. Fortunately Famous Strike had 2 routines to perform. Judges involved Dennis and Chris from ECX, Maxx from Ultimaxx, Noel from Twister Genies and Wansmoof from Style From Beyond (Singapore).

Famous Strike, Twister Random, Twister Genies, Twister Spirit, Move, Shadow Emotion, Project Elementz, Fox and one JB BBoy crew managed to make it into Top 9.

Although Famous Strike did not manage to make it into Top 4, they were crowned The Best Costume and were selected in Top 8. As commented by judges, they preferred their first routine in the first round which would have made Famous Strike to be in Top 4. They got a little disappointed over their second routine as the energy dropped, compared to the other teams.

Von's purple skinny was torn in the beginning which made her movements small and unsteady. When you face difficulty during a performance, don't bother and keep moving. Don't make doubts overshadow yourself. Dance freely and make people proud of that courage.

This is how big a torn whole could get. If you want to wear skinny in your performance, make sure it is damn stretchable! This purple skinny had been worn many times by Von in competitions and shows, and it got torn right at that time. How unlucky. :(

Michael Jackson Tribute Dance Competition held at Sungei Wang Concourse area to pay respect to the gloved one. The competition was in conjunction with The One Concert which will be holding at Arena Of Stars on 20 September 2009.

Preliminary was held on 11 September 2009 and Final on 12 September. Winner will walk away with RM2000, 1st Runner-up with RM1000 and 2nd Runner-up with RM500. Hosted by Fellest Yan, Director of Royal Phantom Dance Studio. Invited judges including Bobby, Director of Street Nation; Katoon, Champion of Sydney Battleground; and Shay, Madonna tour dancer, and was invited to perform in Michael Jackson concert tours as well!

Total participating teams & solos including Bovin, Rhythm Music, Jaisi, ABG, Mun Yee, Live For Respect (LFR), Rain, Dharsan, Project Elementz, Cavan, Nasty Nerd, Skul-Lockers and Michael.

Only 8 teams and solos can make it into the Final. Contestants had to impersonate Michael Jackson in their choreography or use Michael Jackson's tracks to perform and impersonate his moves.

Judges will give comments after each participant has performed. 8 teams who made it into the final including Bovin, Rhythm Music, Jaisi, ABG, Live For Respect (LFR), Rain, Dharsan and Project Elementz.

In the Final, Top 3 teams or solos were Dharsan (Winner), Rhythm Music (1st Runner-up) and Project Elementz (2nd Runner-up). For those who did not make it, you need not to feel disappointed. Winning or losing in life does not prove it will maintain this way throughout the whole life. Keep fighting and improving. Enjoying the progress of upgrading is what that means a lot in life. Winning is like a token or bonus to what you have worked out for. Just remember not to over proud with the winning because it makes you slack down.

Astro Battleground 2009 Audition

Astro Battleground 2009 hits the street again this year! With its theme, No Boundaries, No Limits, Astro Battleground 2009 is open to every race, every religion, every foreigner and every age to participate!

Astro Battleground 2009 had once again invited Bobby Tan to become the honor judge of this TV street dance competition.

The audition took place in front of Sunway Pyramid main entrance. Audition started at about 1.30pm with a total of 32 teams from Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Penang, etc.

Judges involved Marcus Tucker (USA), Bobby Tan (Street Nation), Zero (GBC) and Boojae (Floor Fever).

FAMOUS STRIKE, competing members including AD, Eric, Nic, Von and Yvonne, first time ever in Astro Battleground except for Nic (previously iL'Corsa) and Von (previously collaborated with Colabo Red aka Mustang), although had won 3 competitions but their team age is only 5 months old since early April 2009. They still have many things to learn. So here is a good chance for them to meet more dancers and receive knowledge from different states of dancers.

They had their number at 126, 26th team of the audition. They had a good comment from Marcus and their performance was one of the best shows. After FAMOUS STRIKE was a team called Freak Soul, consists of 2 gals and 2 guys whose dance style is feminine style. Nic was pulled by host Ngan Mei Yan to battle with the guys. Great job.

Katoon Network, competing members including Kim, Kelvin, Alex, Celica and Hazmi (Floor Fever), a great collaboration, who scored the highest in the audition. Great job!

Audition ended around 4pm. Bobby attended a press conference and discussion to decide which 16 teams will enter Preliminary 1 and 2.

He is an extremely underground bboy who does not like to expose his identity in public. To the great breakers who called themselves as a BBoy, you should have known who is BBoy Bounce, from Boogie Brats and Mighty Zulu Kingz.

What's amazing about BBoy Bounce is every time he cyphers, he does different kinds of styles. He does not have a fix set of bboy style that he mainly does everything freestyle. Famous Strike at Ipoh Wild Style Hip Hop Dance Competition 2009

Famous Strike is back to competition! The last competition that Famous Strike joined was the Echo Park final on 31 May 2009.

However, this time, dancers involved AD, Eric, Nic, Yvonne and Von. Prepared the routine for only 2 weeks, Famous Strike was ready to roll.

They went to Ipoh on Friday midnight and once they reached Motion Master Studio (as-per-date still owned by AD), they had one-hour rehearsal in his studio. They overnight at AD & Eric's house in Ipoh.

The event started at about 7.30pm with Solo category. Around 9pm, it was Famous Strike's turn. At about 10pm, result was about to announce. There were total of 16 teams from KL, Penang and Ipoh, making Famous Strike shaking as they felt they would not be in Top 3.

When the emcee announced, Famous Strike jumped for glory. They ran to the stage, looking so excited and unbelievable. After they got their trophy, they hugged for happiness and joy.

Street Nation was being invited to heat up the event with our performance at Sunway Pyramid Orange entrance (outdoor). We managed to give out free vouchers for audience to try out classes at Street Nation Dance Studio. There were total of 2 segments.

Organizer gathered more than 100 dancers to create a theme called Flash Mob. The concept is dancers are not allowed to dress too dancer-appealed. They had to dress like a normal shopper who are shopping at KLCC. They had to act like an audience watching the performance. The performance started with Floor Fever dancing on the round stage, followed by a team consisted around 20+ dancers. When the song jumped into the second song, another team joined in and so on.

Involved Street Nation dancers including Bobby, Kim, AD, Hannsen, Seven, Von, and other Street Nation buddies such as Raymond, Chris, Selena, Ting Dong and Lemon.

Only 1/4 of the total dancers. Haha~

AiFM 20th Mega Concert held at Sunway Lagoon amphitheater. The concept of the whole concert was the era of earth. From caveman to traditional chinese costume, to 60s, 90s and then 21st century. Street Nation was involved in the 21st century costume where they were dressed into Punk style with black lipstick to symbolize the "in" youngsters nowadays.

Being mistaken as "Hit Hot" dancers, including, AD, Eric, Nic, Ting Dong, Ayumi and Seven for the first segment of Changes Of Era, Von for the last segment together with AD, Eric, Nic and Ayumi.

Street Nation was invited to an appreciation party at a western restaurant in Subang Jaya.

Battle Of The Year 2009 ASIA Live in Singapore

Battle of The Year 2009 Asia Live in Singapore. They took an early flight at 6.25am to fly to Singapore from LCCT to Changi Airport. Upon arrival, they took SMRT to look for the hostel. They were supposed to get down at Tanah Merah but didn't and the train moved back to Changi Airport. *SWEAT*

After they checked in the hostel, they went to City Hall Peninsula Mall to look for Dickies. Then moved to Pasir Ris for the BOTY event. Event was supposed to start at 3pm, but audience was released into the hall at 3.30pm.

Event started around 4.30pm. Kickstarted with judges showcase from BBoy Poe One, BBoy Crazy and BBoy Born. Showcase started with Thailand 99 Flava. Followed by China, Laos Laobangfive, Malaysia Giller Battle Crew, Vietnam Big Toe, Singapore Radikal Forze, Taiwan Formosa, Korea Gamblerz and Japan All Area Crew.

There were performances such as freestyle footballers, Red Roses, Yoyo, new skool, belly dancing, etc. Special performance by GoGo Brothers from Japan!!!

Before the MC announced the top 4, there was a Shine Award ceremony giving out awards to the event organizers and the people behind the event.

MC announced that Gamblerz would be battling Formosa, while All Area would be battling Big Toe. Gamblerz crashed several of times but due to biting from Formosa crew, Gamblerz moved to Top 2 battling with All Area crew while Formosa would be battling Big Toe crew.

Gamblerz condition was not stable and was announced as the second placing of BOTY Asia 2009 while Formosa would be going to BOTY Germany as they were the third placing winning over Big Toe crew.

All Area crew also won the best showcase. BBoy solo battle was won by BBoy King So from Gamblerz.

2/8/2009, workshop day. First workshop was d0ne by BBoy Poe One. He had shared most of his bboy knowledge for more than 15 years. He had mainly taught toprock and educated the participants with its name as most breakers only do toprock but do not know the names. Second workshop was done by BBoy Born. But due to his limitation of english, he had requested for a translator to translate his knowledge. He had taught participants to cypher. Last workshop was done by BBoy Crazy. He had mainly taught skills like back spin, windmill, etc.

Workshop ended around 7pm. They chilled until 8.30pm and left the hall to Changi Airport as their flight was 10.25pm.

Watsup Production brought Street Nation, the Digi roadshow done in universities. They went to universities in Klang Valley, Penang, Sabah, etc.

Their performance is freestyle, only 3 dancers. There is no cue when the freestyle session started. It is up to them how long they wanted to do it. And most of their shows were done on the road.

Continued from the previous roadshow in Dataran Pahlawan Melaka, Famous Strike, representing Street Nation, they once again performed in Jaya Jusco Keramat AU2 on 18 July and 19 July. Members consisted of Bobby, Eric, Yvonne and Von.

Waiting for next session of show is never been easy for them as there were 3 sessions each day, 12pm, 3pm and 7pm. They spent most of their break time at the arcade playing basketball, horse racing, photo hunting, etc etc etc!

On the last session of show on 19th, they did a friendly battle between Eric, Bobby Von and Chris, Chung and Lady Seven.

TMNET Roadshow in Dataran Pahlawan Melaka

First of all, thanks to Fever Productions for giving this job to Famous Strike. 4 dancers including Bobby, Nic, Von and Yvonne had been participating to perform for this roadshow in Melaka. The first theme was colorful Dickies where each of them was wearing a different color code of Dickies pants which is favored by most bboys around the world and also a colored scarf that follows their own color. Bobby - 874 English Red; Nic - 874 White; Von - 85283 Royal Blue; Yvonne - 85283 Kelly Green.

In the early morning at 7am, all of them woke up to prepare travelling to Melaka. They reached there around 10am+ and found out they were in the wrong venue as Boojae told them the show was in Mahkota Parade. (Boojae ni... Ish) Thanks god that Dataran Pahlawan is only opposite Mahkota Parade.

The first show of the day (especially the one in the very very very early time), 1pm, was tiring as their bodies were not fully waken up yet. (Yeah~ Dancer's body wakes up at night!) They then had their lunch at nearby restaurant and chilled until 3pm.

Did you all know that Melaka roads are mainly one way which the back and forth roads to a destination are different??? Yeah. We took 2 hours to find a hotel that most of them were fully booked, especially those class ones like Holiday Inn, Equatorial Hotel, Mahkota Hotel, Renaissance Hotel, etc etc. 2 hours later we managed to book 2 rooms at Emperor Hotel far from Dataran Pahlawan.

Yvonne and Von took a one-hour sleep in the hotel while Nic and Bobby went for swimming. For your information, one of the reasons they were travelling for 2 hours to find a hotel is because Bobby and Nic wanted one with swimming pool! Von was feeling unwell after the first show and risked her life inside the car for 2 hours. She had warned them if they didn't swim after back to hotel, she would have skinned them alive! And at last, they did swim. Phew~

7.30pm, when they reached the venue, the organizer told Von that the last show was postponed to Sunday as there was no crowd in the mall! They didn't know they should be glad or crying. However, organizer requested for a freestyle session in the next day.

Then they travelled to Jonker Walk with Yang Jian and friends (reppin' Dynamix) as their tour guides.

After all the stomachs were filled, they travelled back to hotel to take bath and go have fun! However, as it was day time when they were looking for hotel, the roads seemed a little different at night. They were lost!!! They had been turning around and around Melaka. An hour later, they managed to reach Emperor Hotel after getting the direction from a Malay man. Phew~

It was 12.20am when they reached the hotel. Yvonne and Von rushed to bath as they were rushing for a midnight movie at 12.55am with Dex and Yousef (reppin' Cypherz Kingz) while Bobby and Nic were rushing to bath and prepare to go to Pure Bar with Yang Jian and friends!!! They were supposed to chill at Arena due to a Hitz.FM function but the pub was crowded.

It was a great night in Melaka that they slept at 5am and they had to reach Dataran Pahlawan at 11am on the next day. *SWEAT*

On Sunday, they had their breakfast at 9.30am in the hotel when the food had nothing much left. They travelled to Dataran Pahlawan and guess what? LOST AGAIN. Cool... It was almost 12pm when they reached the venue and rushed to the stage.

It was the purple theme which each of them would be wearing different style of clothes that consisted of purple and black clothings.

After 2 rounds of show. They walked to Mahkota Parade to check out Motion Master's show with Digi. After that they chilled at Burger King with AD and Eric. Around 4.30pm they walked to Dataran Pahlawan to get ready for freestyle session.

The freestyle session was done in a battle style. Oh yeah~ Yang Jian had specially brought over Melaka's top bboy crew, Cypherz Kingz to help out in the freestyle session. Famous Crew + Motion Master vs Cypherz Kingz + Dynamix. Thanks to Motion Master (AD, Eric, Siang and 2 more bboys), Cypherz Kingz (Rohan, Moroc, Pixy, Seven, Dex, Miro) and Dynamix (Yang Jiang and friends). Sorry if we didn't get your name or miss out your names!

After the 8pm slot, they went to Wan Li Xiang satay celup for dinner, accompanied by AD, Eric, Yang Jiang, Moroc and friends. Street Nation treated them for the meal as gratitude. Thank you guys for bringing us around in Melaka.

They left Melaka around 10.30pm to rush Nic to Puduraya as he wanted to go back hometown in JB!

Held at e@curve formerly known as Cineleisure. On 12 June 2009, Bgal Seven from Famous Crew had participated in the Bgal Showdown, battling with Bgal Nikki (KrazeeKru), Bgal Phat, Bgal Mabel, Bgal Khirl and Bgal Ally (D-Artiz). They had to battle with each other so they had to go through 5 battles with 2 moves each bgal to determine the top 2 who would be battling on the Floor Combat 2009 Bgal Showdown Final.

After more than 15 rounds of battles, Bgal Seven was announced to be the highest among the 6 bgals while Bgal Nikki scored the second.

On the other hand, Famous Crew had sent 3 teams to take part in the Bboy 3on3 battle, Famous Team 1 (Bboy Clipz, Bboy Famous1 & Bboy OneDay), Famous Team 2 (Bboy Eric, Bboy Kim & Bboy Melvine) and Famous KSC (Bboy Fido, Bboy Bobby & Bboy AD) on 13 June.

However, result was announced on 14 June that Famous KSC, the oldest bboys in Famous Crew, made it into Top 16 out of 42 teams. (Oops... Did I just say old? Perhaps MATURED.) They had battled with SingaMas crew in Top 16, Funky Strawberry in Top 8, Force 136 in Top 4 and Floor Tactics in Third Place placing. Famous KSC was crowned as the 4th Placing in Floor Combat 2009. Good job, ~~old~~ matured men! =)

Bboy Fido (Famous KSC) on the first move of the day battling with SingaMas that consisted of Bboy Dex (reppin' Cypherz Kingz & Floor Tactics), Bboy Charlie (from Singapore) and Bboy Amie (reppin' Giller Battle Crew) in Top 16.

Bboy Fido (Famous KSC) had also taken part in the Bboy Solo. Bboy Fido had battled with Bboy Charlie (SingaMas) in Preliminary, Bboy Andreas in Quarter Final, Bboy Khenobu (Force 136) in Semi Final and Bboy Zen (Wakaka Crew) in Final! Bboy Fido got the 2nd placing in Floor Combat 2009 Bboy Solo Battle!

For Bgal Showdown Final, each bgal was given 3 throwdowns to show their best moves! We could see that Bgal Seven was nervous as it was her first time battling in a competition in front of so many top bgals and bboys from Malaysia and Singapore. However, Bgal Seven's hard work had honored her the Champion in Floor Combat 2009 Bgal Showdown! Bgal Seven has been breaking for 2 years only! Good job girl! You rock~

Marcus Tucker New Jack Swing & Locking Workshop Series 2.0

Presented by Street Nation Dance Studio, Marcus Tucker New Jack Swing and Locking workshop Series 2.0 held at Sunway studio. We had got participants all the way from Muar, Melaka, etc. Thank you for supporting our event!

Workshop started with Locking. Marcus had taught the participants skill by skill such as Scoobie-Doo, Lock, etc. Before workshop ended, participants were allowed to freestyle in the middle of the dance floor with Marcus!

Famous Crew at Battle Of The Year Malaysia 2009

Famous Crew (BBoy AD, Eric, Fido, Famous 1, Clipz, Hann, Kim and One Day), the first time ever fought as a whole team at Battle of The Year Malaysia 2009. We had been preparing the routine 2 months before the actual event. However, we only had 2 days to train together in a week.

Everyone was anxious towards this championship that most of us were mostly lack of sleep. We seriously had no idea where was the stage until we heard loud music downstairs. It was held outdoor at an empty area in front of the restaurants such as Secret Recipe, etc.

The event started off with Solo Battle then Crew Showcase. Participating crews including Famous Crew, Giller Battle Crew, Project Elementz, Wakaka Fever, Rokusteps, Syko Breakers, Sephiroth Crew and Absolute Crew. Organizer had invited BBoy Katsu (Japan), BBoy Bruce Lee (Korea) and BBoy Epic Phlave (USA) to be the judges!

Although Famous Crew did not win the battle but we believe experience will make everyone grows better and improves.

Good job to everyone. Time to move on!

Famous Crew at Korea Sparkling 2009

In conjunction with Break Out : Korean Extreme Street Dance Show 2009, organizer had organized Korea Sparkling 5 on 5 BBoy Battle at Sunway Pyramid. On 17 May 2009, each participating team was given 2 minutes to show all their moves on stage. Judges BBoy Epic Phlave, Shay and BBoy Zen selected Top 16 crews to battle with each other on the final which fell on 26 May 2009.

Famous Crew (BBoy Kim, BBoy Eric, BBoy Clipz, BBoy AD and BBoy One Day) was selected into Top 16. They battled with Force 136 but however lost in the battle.

Famous Strike had once again taken part in a dance competition organized by YMM. The competition was held at Sunway Pyramid on 16 May 2009. The competition was divided into 2 categories - Under 18 and Open categories.

Judges including Bobby Tan, Dennis Yin and Mr Katoon. Event was hosted by Raymond Tan from Raydio Dance Academy and DJ console in-charged by Eddie Chan.

More than 10 groups participated in the Open category. Top 3 teams including Twister Random (Champion, Famous Strike (First Runner-up) and Everlast Shot (Second Runner-up).

Promotional Show at Taylor's College

Upon invitation, Taylor's College invited Street Nation Dance Studio to have a performance for their event. Street Nation had sent Famous Strike and Popping Cyrus. Street Nation had also managed to distribute flyers during the event to promote the studio.
